    SODIS Experiments and Studies

Solar Water Disinfection (SODIS) is a low-cost technique of purifying water using only solar energy (sunlight) and plastic PET bottles - should not be confused with solar water pasteurization.

Solar water pasteurization is a technique that uses solar cookers or other reflectors to trap the sun heat in order to treat water. The meaning is that with this method water can be treated at higher temperatures than with SODIS.
